ELICO recognizes that our children are the future of the world and strives to help the surrounding communities by providing access to quality education. During the expansion phase of the two schools, which were established around the two leather manufacturing plants (Awash and Abyssinia), we contributed to the construction of additional learning rooms and intend to continue our assistance in providing every child with an opportunity for education.

In the difficult world of manufacturing, where women and the elderly are frequently undervalued, we are proud to provide equal employment opportunities for all. we have over 1200 technical skilled and semi-skilled employees. In addition to hiring workers based on their skills and competencies, we provide prior/special improvement opportunities for the surrounding /local communities. Particularly for jobs that do not necessitate a specific professional or knowledge level.

Road connectivity is one of the most important pillars of a country's development as it allows people to access community services. By constructing small scale 2km roads in the neighboring communities of Awash and Abyssinia tanneries, we are assisting in the completion of the smallest pieces of the larger puzzle. We are stepping up our efforts to increase road connectivity as we continue to promote environmentally friendly and healthy modes of transportation.
